A paperweight by Walter with a snail
A paperweight by Walter with a snail, 7 x 7 x 7 cm, price 3800 euro. This glass object is made in the pate de verre technique, so the glass is not mouth blown.
The very small glass grains are put into a mould in the right posiiton to make the decoration and molded together in the oven.
In the glass you find a million of small air bubbles as they were trapped between the grains and couldn't escape.
Most of the times you find two names on the object, the designer, who designed the object and Water who made it.
On this vide poche there is Henri Berge and Walter's name.
