Bronze Meiji vases dragons and dogs, Japan Meiji period 1870-1890. These vases were sold in France during the art nouveau period.
At that time Japonism was very popular thanks to Siegfried Bing and his magazine Le Japon Artistique.
The two vases are a real pair as one dragon turns to the left and the other to the right. Highest quality of bronze. 60 cm high.
