Description / Expertise

More or less a complete set of dishes made by Emile Galle and his father Charles with the coat of arms of Nancy. The text on the dishes is: Non inultus premor. The shield of Nancy has a thistle and three eagles and a crown. The words mean : No one touches me with impunity.
Around 1870-77. Ofcourse plates with this text were very popular after the German- French war in 1871. These dishes have been in an attic during all these years, so they are very well preserved. They were carefully wrapped in a crate and forgotten. Now it will make a collector happy. Imagine that you are having friends over for dinner and set the table with an original Galle set of dishes! Altogether about 50 pieces.
